I got my luggage! It's been quite an experience of which I'm grateful to be forced to go out with my luggage for these 6 days. I've been loaned 4 salwars from my new friend, Katie, and 3 of them from Dr. Revanthi. Stefanie, a teacher from Oregon, went shopping with me to get toiletries, a power surge protector, sandals and a salwar. God has shown His faithfulness and provision as I've been with out my familiar things packed in my 2 checked suitcases. Getting them late last night was a surprising blessing!
It's been a relaxing Friday. At 6 a.m., I woke up and decided to watch Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs in bed. At 9, I went to the school's Good Friday service, then video chatted with my Dad, Grandad, Grandma and Aaron online. Seeing my loved ones, from across the world, every once in a while is a really neat thing. Mom, I want to video chat with you again soon!
I watched 17 Dresses this afternoon to unwind and relax. You'll notice in the photo I've cut my own bangs...I got a bit bored and wanted a little change of appearance. Later, I went to visit Amy's flat; she's pictured the 3rd girl, between Stafanie and Elly (far right). She made us some tea and we chatted about love lives. It turns out a lot of the single women here have attachments overseas as I do. She met me in the places where I miss Aaron. It's alright, though. I believe this distance is a good thing for both of us to go through. Later, a bunch of the staff went out to eat at an Indian hotel. I had a strawberry milkshake, cheese dolsa (like a crepe), and finger chips (french fries)!

:-) You cut your bangs! You look so adorable! I remember watching that movie with you and the gang... that night was so fun. I hope you enjoyed watching that movie, and 17 dresses... I'm not quite sure what that movie is about.
Hearing you talk about being without your luggage in our previous conversations has been so encouraging. We really can trust God to provide for us in every comfort we can imagine. Now that you have the luggage, I have this idea in my head that it couldn't have come at a better time. :-)
I miss you too. I agree, and we've talked about the distance. He really does many things in these times. :-) I thank God so much that you have amazing neighbors willing to share their internet connection. We're able to see and talk to each other. That's such a blessing!
p.s. The English vernacular is so strange!
=*_*=Your new bangs looks great. But isn't the movie that you watched was called 27 Dresses cause you put 17 Dresses. How funny you are but I still love you girl. I'm glad you got a chance to talk to your family and Aaron last night. It was funny how your dad called Aaron on our way to Co last night for help on setting up a video chat.
Sorry that it has been hard for you sleep past 6am if only they wouldn't be praying that early would be great. Well I'm glad that everything for you has been going well for you so far and I'm glad that you so many stories to tell. Miss you girl and have a blast teaching there=^_^=!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello from across the world!~! I sure enjoy your blog. Please tell Amy, Stefanie, Katie and Elly "Hi" for me. Dad and I are going to the Good Friday service at church tonight. Are you waiting for Easter Day to open up the cards from us??? We really admire the way you " got along" without your luggage for six days. You had a good attitude about it. You are a terrific person Emily!!!!!~!!!!!Love, Mom and Dad
I LOVE YOUR BANGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mom
Thanks friends and family. I appreciate your encouragements! Love you all!
Emily you look so adorable. This is how I know we were meant to be friends because I have in the past given myself very poor haircuts out of sheer boredom. haha It didn't turn out quite as well though as yours did. :)
Praise God that you have your luggage and that you were provided for in the time without it. I'm also extremely thankful to Him that the absence of your luggage was used to help you bond and make friends.
It's so wonderful that you are adjusting and enjoying India. I'm still super confused about what time it is where you are. 12 hours ahead or behind? Somehow I have to figure out a way to let you know I'm going to be online. haha I'm on now... if that counts for anythings? haha
I love you lady and hope to speak with you soon!
Yeah :-)
It's 12 and 1/2 hours ahead. For instance, it's 9 a.m.Sunday here in India, so it's 8:30 p.m. Saturday in CA.
Lets talk soon!
Thanks, girl
Em
